Samuel B. Goldberg is our lead defense counsel. Upon graduating from Boston University School of Law, he served as an assistant district attorney in Brooklyn, New York. There, he was responsible for the investigation and prosecution of a wide variety of criminal matters including sexual assault, drug trafficking, homicide and white collar crime.

In 1990, Attorney Goldberg began practicing criminal defense. He has been fighting for the rights of his clients in criminal cases throughout the various state and federal courts in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York State since that time.

Attorney Goldberg's expertise in such matters as trial advocacy and criminal law have been recognized throughout the country . He has been a contributor to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Court TV, MSNBC, Los Angeles Times, Time Magazine, as well as various cable, television, and radio networks. During the Michael Jackson trial, he was a regular legal analyst appearing on the Fox News Channel's program "Studio B". He has also made presentations nationally for organizations such as the National Association of Police Organizations, Lorman Educational Services, Practicing Law Institute, Federal Criminal Justice Agency, and the Institute for Paralegal Education.

Attorney Goldberg has been a frequent lecturer and contributor to various Massachusetts forums. These include Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Committee for Public Counsel Services, and the Essex County Bar Advocates. He has served as adjunct faculty member for the Boston University School of Law lecturing in Advanced Trial Advocacy as well as coaching its national mock-trial team in the American Trial Lawyers Association's competition for over ten years.

Attorney Goldberg has also been retained for his expertise as a consultant for various other lawyers, companies, and agencies such as the Office of the Medical Examiner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the late honorable Michael Curci, former justice of the New York Supreme Court, and Vance, an international investigation and security consulting company.

Attorney Goldberg has had articles published both locally and nationally. He is currently the author of the Boston Criminal Lawyer Blog, recently rated the most highly followed daily criminal law blog in Massachusetts.

Throughout his career in the Criminal Justice trenches, both as a prosecutor and defense attorney, Attorney Goldberg has handled several high profile matters of a wide variety including murder, rape, and federal narcotics trafficking.

Attorney Goldberg recognizes the need for individual attention to clients facing the nightmare of criminal investigation and criminal charges. His years of practice have only solidified his drive to zealously defend his clients part of said defense including the fight to remind competing interests in the criminal justice system that his clients are human beings, not simply "the defendant".
